Trevor Southerland

Trevor Southerland is a Democratic political strategist with more than 20 years of experience in state legislative campaigns, caucus operations, fundraising, field strategy, paid communications, and majority-building.

He was Deputy Executive Director (2017) and Executive Director (2019) of the Virginia House Democratic Caucus, when Democrats flipped 21 seats and won the majority for the first time in two decades and electing the first woman and first Jewish Speaker in the history of Virginia.

. In 2022, he served as Executive Director of the Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee, where Democrats gained 12 seats and won their first House majority in more than a decade, leading to the election of the first woman Speaker in the history of Pennsylvania.
